Healing Lives
A girl studying 5th grade was abandoned by her mother suddenly. She had to drop out of school and live with her homeless grandmother on the streets. A good Samaritan brought the girl to BGMS. She was sheltered in BGMS and readmitted to 5th standard. She was helped through remedial classes to cope up with her studies. She passed tenth grade with 90%+ and is now pursing higher studies.
A 17 year old girl, a victim of underage marriage was thrown out of her house. She was referred to BGMS by another NGO. BGMS helped her overcome her trauma. She was counseled to resume her studies which she had discontinued after first year PU. She completed her degree, took up a job and is even pursuing post graduation part time.
A 30 year women unable to bear her husband’s abusive behavior sought shelter at BGMS. Husband was a violent drug addict. Husband was called and counseled. When things did not improve steps were taken to legally separate them after which husband agreed to get into rehabilitation. Now they have turned a new leaf. Both have regular jobs and live together with their children.
